Technology for dental practices is no longer limited to the office computers. Clinical technology equipment such as lasers, intra-oral scanners, and new instrumentation presents disinfection and sterilization challenges. The added challenges of harsh chemicals, busy schedules and super bugs leads to an infection control dilemma for the dental team, “What are we supposed to do?”
Jackie Dorst’s CE webinar provides the latest infection control and sterilization protocols. She will review proper techniques and product selection for effective cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of clinical technology equipment. Attendees will learn how to implement efficient infection control systems to protect equipment and provide safety for patients and the dental team.
Upon completion of this CE webinar, the student will be able to: • Recognize proper use of barriers and/or disinfectants for contaminated technology equipement • Identify sterile indicators for dental instrument packs • Understand manufacturer’s IFUs • Become more familiar with sterile quality assurance protocols
